Description
The mission of the Regional Asylum Service Offices, within their local authority capacity, is to implement the legislation concerning International Protection and particularly:
- to take all fingerprints of those who apply for International Protection,
- to receive and to primarily assess all applications for International Protection,
- to receive appeals and transfer them to the Appeals Authority,
- to inform the applicants for International Protection about the assessment procedure of their applications, as well as to inform them about their rights and obligations,
- to supply the applicants for International Protection, along with those entitled for International Protection, with the necessary legal and travel documents,
- to assist applicants with any issues concerning the conditions of reception and co-operation with other official agencies
